About the author

Mr. Hitender Mehta, FCS, FCA, LLB, is Managing Partner of Centrum Legal, a Corporate Legal Advisory firm in India. Advisor to many Indian and multinational companies, his practice area includes corporate laws, foreign exchange laws, labour and industrial laws, taxation, special economic zones, real estate and bilateral/ multilateral trade agreements. He is a distinguished Member of the Committee of Group of Experts, constituted by Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India to examine the simplification of LLP Act, Rules and approach/methodology for promoting LLPs and matters related thereto. Also, Mr. Mehta has been a Member of the Committee, constituted by the MCA to identify the tax issues arising out of convergence between the Companies Act, 1956, IFRS, DTC and GST and matters related thereto.

Mr. Mehta is a member of the Advisory Board of National Law University, Jodhpur; and Member of the Expert Advisory Board of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for the year 2012-13. He has been the Chairman of the Northern India Regional Council of the ICSI in the year 2008-09.
